The Burlington Discover Jazz Festival celebrates its 27th year, with the
sounds of jazz, blues, funk and Latin music. For 10 days, over 45,000
revelers enjoy a unique mix of concerts, dances, jams, street parties,
cruises on Lake Champlain, meet-the-artist sessions and workshops. A full
roster of world-renowned performers and events will be announced on April

Pirate Festival
Come in costume! Re-enactors lead pirate-themed activities, and kids get
creative with dramatic play, sing-alongs, and crafts. Musical show "A
Pirate's Life for Me," with Julie & Brownie at 1:00 p.m. each day, with
vocals, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and concertina. Board full-sized replica
1776 gunboat Philadelphia II and 1862 schooner Lois McClure. Saturday
& Sunday at 1pm: A Pirate's Life for Me! Join the dynamic duo Julie &
Brownie as they present their interactive musical on both days of this
festival. They will be on the grounds in the morning and afternoon, offering
other presentations, songs, and a book signing of A Pirate's Life for

Small state –BIG BEER A New England tradition in its 18th Year! This Artisan
Craft Beer Festival host 36 brewers from Vermont, New York, New Hampshire,
Mass, Maine, and La Belle province, Quebec, featuring over 188 craft beers.
Many of which are not available outside of the breweries. This outdoor
festival takes place in Burlington Waterfront Park with scenic views of
Lake Champlain framed by the Adirondack Mountain Range. Session I: 7/16,

2010 6th Annual Taste of Stowe Arts Festival
This multi-faceted Stowe event features 150 artists and artisans exhibiting
handmade art and fine craft. Activities include celebrity chef contest,

“Taste of Stowe” on Sunday with 12 stellar restaurants serving their culinary

Dragonheart Vermont Announces the Fifth Annual Citizens Bank Lake Champlain
Dragon Boat Festival.

Dragonheart Vermont,
a breast cancer survivor Dragon boat team, is hosting the Lake Champlain
Dragon Boat Festival at Burlington’s Waterfront Park on Sunday, August
8, 2010. The Festival will feature 85 Dragon boat teams from the Vermont
community and 5 Breast Cancer Survivor teams from the U.S. and Canada.
It’s fun for the whole family with lively entertainment, great food, a
huge Silent Auction, raffles, a children’s tent, and more. Proceeds to
benefit Camp Ta-Kum-Ta (www.takumta.org), a camp for kids with cancer
and Dragonheart Vermont. 8am to 5pm; free admission for spectators. A
Dragon boat is a 41 foot long canoe paddled by a team of 20 people. A
drummer sits in the bow beating out the cadence of the stroke. Races are
